INDIA OF MY DREAMS

Talking of dreams, a dream is a sub-conscious psychic vision of the 'Ideal'; coloured by personal affections and framed by the human desire to reach what one wants. But for all the countless personal fantasies and dreams, the only common dream born out of the heart of patriotic sensibility is that of the country of our dreams. And when the country at the heart of such a dream is as great as India, the dream is rather vivid and colourful.

The India of my dreams is nothing but an amalgamation of its 'Indianess' manifested in its past glory and promised in its gleaming future. In other words, The India of my dreams is also the India of your dreams.

India, being a country of social contrasts and enormous ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity should be in a state where there would be no racism and regionalism. I would want My India to control communalism, whatever its shape or form may be. All such tendencies, which fan the forces of separatism and disruption, have to be eliminated.

The problems just don’t end after controlling communalism there are so many evils like poverty, ignorance, bribery, indiscipline, corruption, disunity which is also of priority to have a control on. So the vision of my India is to have a free India of these evils. Her people will have good food to eat-- fine clothes to wear--nice houses to live in--proper education--clean and healthy—proper sanitation--live free like a bird and stay happy--jobs for all. There will be no strikes and ‘morchas’ to accomplish demands. The people will be peaceful and united. India will flow with milk and honey.

All of us want India to become a respectable super power in the world. India has a rich past. It was because of its riches, that it was invaded innumerable times and its wealth was plundered. India was known to be a “Golden Bird”.

The world is day by day growing rapidly in all possible fields, especially in the Science Sector. I want India to be more scientifically and technologically advanced as compared to the present scenario. I would like India to be at the apex of scientific and technological progress, and give due importance to science and information technology because modern age is an age of science and information technology.
Above all, India of my dreams is a peaceful, progressive, literate country free from the pangs of poverty, where every citizen feels safe and secure, where health facilities are provided top all and where the women of the country are treated with utmost dignity and respect. We must take the people into confidence and make them work hard for the country. In this way our India will one day indeed be one of the developed nations on the earth, also if we educate ourselves properly, think correctly and develop qualities of integrity, sincerity and selflessness in public life.
