Beach side (Mumbai-GOA-Mumbai)

After the splendid experience with my family in Goa, I miss to sit on the beaches looking at the sun set and seeing how the world around us is, it’s a feeling of being in paradise. I found the perfect blend of exotic beaches, lip smacking cuisine, easy going people, rocking parties and ancient religious places in Goa. It is a place which goes synonymous with vacations and holidays. This is the only state that guarantees to calm down, lighten up and refresh us and at the same time set our adrenalin rushing with the amazing varieties it has to offer.

As I walked the roads of Goa, on one hand I saw unending beer bars and on the other ancient churches that provide the perfect picture of the deep religious faith of Goans, Goa is a place where I saw different kinds of people, there was diversity. There are people coming from different regions and from different religion.

Goa is a place where one will never get bored, there are so many things, many choices to do in Goa and one will never be out of work or out of job, and there is something in store for everyone coming in town. Nature lovers can explore the wildlife sanctuaries and the ones who love water sports can try water sports at the beaches, one can just stroll on the beaches and enjoy the beauty of nature. The places to visit in Goa are Church of Our Lady of Rosary, The Rachol Seminary, and Church of St. Francis of Assisi, The Se Cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus.

So the best time to visit Goa is October- November. It is a tourist season, this is when the charter flights arrive and locals take a deep breath to brace for madness, even the weather is suitable for everyone, it is neither too hot nor too cold. Goa has warm climate throughout the year. Summer times are pleasant while the winters are chilled with cold breeze flowing.

Goa is a shopper's paradise, visit to Goa is not complete if you go home empty handed. The best places to hunt for the perfect take away items are the beaches. Goa is such a multi-coloured state that you won't be left thinking as what to buy in Goa. Shopping in Goa should be one of your top most priorities while touring and sightseeing. Goa is full of local markets and beach shacks that sell everything and anything under the sun.

Cashew nuts are famous in Goa; it is also famous for junk stuff, dried fishes and spices. Items of local handicrafts like shell work; bamboo work, brassware, crochet etc are available in plenty and are a good choice for a souvenir. Mapusa and Anjuna are the best places for shopping in Goa. The Anjuna weekly market is on Wednesday where one will get tops starting from 50 rupees and on those special days, the shopkeepers give 5% of discount to their daily customers.

Goa is known for its night life. Goa is a state that believes in partying all night and for almost all occasion. Though Goa is a very small city its night life is better than the big metro cities of India. The nightlife of Goa was started by the hippies who came in the 70’s, since then the nightlife in Goa has increased and has gained much fun, since alcohol is easily available in Goa, there is no depth of fun and enjoyment during late hours. On every fifteenth step of your walk you will find a beer shop, in fact most of the restaurants have bars attached, which serve chilled beer and also allows you to relax in peace.

Goans believe in partying hard and one can find many late night parties on the edges of famous beaches where people just enjoy themselves and forget the tension and drink till they drop. It is a place where one will find new friends, new relationships.

Goa is famous for its beaches, as you walk the beaches of Goa, it’s like travelling back in time, the beaches are so clean and crystal clear filled different kinds of people, you will find sadhus and palm readers on every corner of the beach, nagging behind to read our hands and irritating us by telling stupid facts about us.

Goa demands more than few days, if a weekend is all you have then there are few beaches one should never miss are Baga beach. Kalangoti beach, these beaches offer water rides, play areas, cafes, gift shops and lots more. Even North Goa beaches will be an excellent choice if one wants to have fun, din and enjoy their time they offer water rides, fine food and wine, upmarket restaurants and many more fun and exciting things, but if one wants to sit and relax than South Goa is the perfect destination for you, beaches there are less crowded, clean less commercialised. The beaches of Goa are an ideal destination for honeymoon couples and youngsters to chill and while away their time. Mostly foreigners are found in South Goa beaches, sun bathing for hours on the sandy beaches.

A place which is simply A-mazing…. SO MAKE A TRIP TO GOA BEFORE YOU THINK OF ANOTHER PLACE TO VISIT!!!
